Thistle and Time has launched a podcast to accompany this website. The first season of Hidden Histories of the Scottish Borders, is now live on Spotify, Apple, Goodpods and other platforms. Each bite-sized episode tells the story of a historic site in the Scottish Borders Region. There are raids, reivers and war, as well as the stories of the families who lived during the Borders’ turbulent past.
Season one ends with Timpendean Tower, The Fortress That Refused To Die. But a second season will follow in the summer. In the meantime, all previous episodes remain available to stream from wherever you receive your podcasts. Places covered so far include Roxburgh Castle, Neidpath Castle, Smailholm Tower and Traquair House. There is also a special episode telling the story of the Border Reivers.
